Alex Therapeutics is a Stockholm-based Medtech startup that develops digital therapies (DTx). We create and deliver accessible, evidence-based treatments through smartphone apps. By combining evidence-based psychology with leading design and technology, we can develop digital medicine products that help under-treated patients worldwide. Located in central Stockholm, our team seeks to fundamentally change how modern healthcare works.

Role Description

We seek an experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join our Digital Therapeutics Start-up on a growth journey. The COO will join a fast-growing start-up and be responsible for the overall operational functions of the business, including financial management (CFO functions), legal, HR, IR, board work, team growth and development, and more. The COO will also engage in strategic and commercial relationships, working with strategic partners such as Pfizer, and our VC investors.

The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of leading teams at a scale-up, have excellent executive and communication skills, and ideally, have a background in consulting. Additionally, the COO must be an experienced leader who can collaborate across multiple teams and departments and successfully manage operations. The successful candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the business. They will also need to be a strategic and operational thinker, able to make decisions and implement the necessary processes and systems to ensure the company’s success.

Qualifications (need-to-haves)

• Proven track record of leading teams in a scale-up environment
• Excellent executive and communication skills
• Proven track record of leading teams across multiple departments
• Proven success in leading business operations
• International experience
• Excellent strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Strong knowledge of financial management (CFO functions)
• Knowledge of legal and HR management

Qualifications (nice-to-haves)

• Background in consulting
• Experience in board work
• Experience in working in or towards the US, Germany, UK and/or France
• Experience in team growth and development
• Experience in digital therapeutics/healthcare or another regulated industry
• Experience from participating in fundraising work at a previous start-up
